The Washington Capitals will play on back-to-back nights when they meet up in Montreal to face the Canadiens on Wednesday. The Capitals have had success against the Canadiens and their recent play has them a possible slight road favourite in this NHL betting matchup.
 
Washington is in Montreal for the first time this season, but they are winners of two straight at the Bell Centre and a win streak has seen them rise into a playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
 
Washington is nipping at the heels of the Southeast division-leading Florida Panthers and they seem destined to collect a third straight win in La Belle province. The Canadiens are also a dismal 4-5-1 in their past 10 games versus the 7-3-0 record Washington has going into Tuesday night’s betting action.

All the NHL betting eyes will be on the red-hot Ottawa Senators as they try to get on another winning streak when they travel to California to play the San Jose Sharks on the NHL game selection menu on Thursday.
 
Ottawa will need to bring their best game against the Sharks, who have won five straight head-to-head. San Jose split their four games on a recent road trip and had points in three of the four games.
 
The Senators have seen plenty of ice time lately and fatigue could play a roll in the Sharks being the betting favourite in this contest.

It’s the Battle of Alberta in NHL betting Saturday night with the Calgary Flames taking a less than spectacular road record into Edmonton to play the Oilers, who have only been decent at home.
 
Calgary has shut out the Oilers once this season in Edmonton and they are winners of five straight head-to-head. Heading into this week’s action the Oilers had just two wins in their last 10 games, and not much will likely change by Saturday.
 
The Flames have won five straight in the series and will be the likely choice among bettors on the NHL betting menu.
